Love and Monsters

Seven years after asteroids unleashed a Monsterpocalypse, the world above is a terrifying, overgrown graveyard. Underground bunkers became humanity’s last stand, and within one of these, Joel Dawson, a sensitive but somewhat hapless survivor, clings to a flickering hope: Aimee, his high school sweetheart, lost to another colony. When a crackly radio transmission reignites their connection, Joel makes a rash decision. Leaving the safety of his bunker, where he’s mostly known for making the best minestrone soup, he ventures out into the monster-infested world. His journey is fraught with peril, gigantic centipedes, poisonous snails, and worse. Along the way, he encounters Clyde, a hardened hunter, and the resourceful young Minnow, who become his unlikely mentors. They teach him how to survive, but can they prepare him for the real monsters, and more importantly, for what Aimee might have become in the apocalypse? The fate of Joel’s heart, and perhaps humanity’s future, hangs in the balance.

Storyline

In a post-apocalyptic world overrun by mutated monsters, Joel Dawson, a timid and inexperienced survivor, lives a sheltered life in an underground colony, haunted by memories of his pre-apocalypse sweetheart, Aimee.
